Amazing Grace (Parrott)

Grace Parrott, senior, is a self-described short, oblivious and nice individual who enjoys playing the piano and playing with her dog Kevin. She’s on the C-team for South Tennis, a sport which she began playing during sophomore year.

“I really just joined it to hang out with friends. I’m not competitive with it at all, I do it as a social thing and it’s really fun,” Parrott said.

Friends are important to Parrott, who makes an effort to hang out with them whenever she has free time. Whether they’re eating out or going to that week’s football game, Parrott and her friends can always be found hanging out, relaxing and cracking jokes.

When in school, Parrott is typically studious and hardworking. However, when she’s out of the classroom she tends to let loose a little more.

“I think I’m a lot more easy going than people might think. There’s more to me than being a ‘smart kid’ or someone who is ‘good at school’. Growing up I didn’t always let people see that, but as I got older I realized that people don’t really care. Be yourself since you’re not going to please everyone,” said Parrott.

Parrott is ready to enjoy her last year in high school, and is excited about being a part of The View. Be prepared for more of her stories to come both on the website and in the upcoming print issues.
