New to The View: Emily Williamson

An interview with new staff member Emily Willamson

From playing the saxophone, being in over 4 school clubs including Freshmen Mentors, Science Olympiad, German club, and Ceramics club along with spending hours studying for quizzes and exams for her 3 AP classes, Emily Williamson (junior) faces a new adventure going into her third year at South; joining the c200 family.

Williamson joined newspaper for the first time in hopes to meet new people and be around people who also share the same passion as her; journalism. Williamson took the journalism class first semester her sophomore year and knew once she finished, she wanted to go deeper into the South’s journalism program. So when the space opened up in her busy schedule, she made sure to join the class.

“I really loved Mrs. Palmer and wanted to be around people who were passionate about the same things I am,” said Williams, “and so far I’m loving the class.”

As the year goes on and Williamson continues to learn everyday in C200, she said she will take every lesson learned in Newspaper and carry it with her in her day to day life.
