South’s take on the iPhone 11

Apple debuted its new product, the iPhone 11 on Sept. 11. At a cost of $1,099 for the Pro Max and $999 for the Max, it is the most expensive phone Apple has put on the market yet.

According to Ava Holmes, freshman, the iPhone X doesn’t have much competition. Holmes said the X already has great quality and there is “no need for more cameras.”

“The iPhone 11 has too many cameras which crowd the back making it have a less sleek design,” said Katie Salerno, freshman.

Aside from the cameras, there are some other features like Face ID and multiple colors.

Sophia Dunn, junior, said, “The Face ID makes your phone more protected and it’s a good change from Touch ID which is what I currently have on the iPhone 7+.”

Although there is Face ID and a variety of colors, both Dunn and Holmes think this phone will do worse than previous phones. This is because it is so similar to the X which was released last year by Apple.

On the other hand, Salerno thinks it will do better.

“Every phone is more successful than the phone before it so yes, the iPhone 11 will do better than phones in the past,” said Salerno.

The iPhone 11 will be available in-store and online on Friday, Sept. 20.
