Falling into Fabrics
Leaves falling, colors changing and wardrobe adjustments.
“Fall outfits are the best outfits,” said @Cydney_Jessica on Twitter.
South has numerous children and each one has a different style. Some people jump on the trends and join bandwagons. Some trends include layering, sweaters, rain boots, fun socks and so many more for the fall season.
Abby Wells, junior, said, “I’m like a dress down chic. I’m dressed down to look dressed up.”
Wells says her fall go to outfit was a long sleeve underneath a short sleeve paired with jeans and Vans. She said stripes are her best friend in the fall.
Wells said her fall weather prime is a “crisp 65.7 degrees” because “you can get away without a jacket.”
Wells has specific place to shop for fall clothes.
“Free People. Wait, I don’t want people to know that. Don’t put that because they will go shop there,” she said.
Wells proceeded to say she shops at LuluLemon, Adidas and local boutiques.
Daryn Williams, senior, works at one of the local boutiques called Urban Trends in the Parkville area.
Williams said, “Senior year has hit and she now is a dress downer.”
On the occasional days when Williams dresses up she wears her go to outfit which consists of black jeans, a fall colored sweater and some black wedge sneakers.
“So, basically what I’m wearing today,” said Williams.
Williams prefers the fall weather to be a little bit warmer but she loves the colors. If she had to choose her perfect fall temperature, she would say low ‘70s.
Williams shops at Urban Trends, her work or Nordstrom Rack for good steals.
Girls’ closets are a different story compared to guys’ closets in any season.
Liam Dunn, freshman, described his wardrobe as “Comfy, Comfy, Comfy, and the khakis in the bottom drawer my mom made me get.”
Dunn said he wears joggers, t-shirts, sweatshirts to top it with Adidas tennis shoes. Perfect weather for Dunn is low 60s so he doesn’t get hot while standing outside in his layers.
South students all have unique wardrobes even if it is just one thing different from another. Everyone has a different trend they follow. Students from different grades and both genders have shown their views and opinions on fall trends and would agree fall weather is the best weather.
