Girls Tennis: Serving Up a Season
South’s girls tennis team recently concluded their 2019 season with a banquet on Oct. 16th. The girls were all in high spirits with how the season ended and have equally high hopes for next year.
Riley Parman, sophomore, was very excited about achieving some personal goals throughout the season.
“I really feel like I improved this season, even more than I did last year,” Parman said. “I can’t wait to see how I do next year. I’d love to make it to varsity, but as long as I keep getting better I’d be happy even if I stayed on JV!”
Grace Parrott, senior, had mixed feelings about the end of this year’s season as it would be her last one at South.
“It was fun to see everyone together one last time, but it’s also kind of sad to know that this was my last season here,” Parrott said. “I’m going to miss this team.”
It seems that while the end of this season might have been bittersweet for those leaving the team, the future is still bright for the rest of the girls.
