The Fish, Become Sharks
They were once known as fish in the water, but are now known as the sharks. South Boys Swim Team has become one of the best sports programs at South, and with the addition of new freshman, they have only become a stronger and more feared team across class one swimming programs.
“This year we are way better than we were last year, and we are undefeated in our class. We are working 100 percent harder and faster than we did last year, and it’s really starting to show in the big meets,” Luke Brown, sophomore, said.
There have been many new additions to the swim team, which have completely changed the culture of the team. Ethan Roach, Derek Long, and Henry Snider have been massive additions to the team, but one of them that might stick out the most, is the phenomenon of Ethan Roach.
“Ethan is something I haven’t seen before. In a few years, the kid is gonna have every record at South, mark my words. He can swim every stroke and does it flawlessly. He adds so much energy and hope into this team and makes us work harder every day,” Brown said.
South’s swim team has only gotten better this year. With new additions and even harder practices, this team is really showing that they have a shot to win state, and some of us really believe in them. These small fish, have become the great whites in the water.
