Take time for “The Vampire Diaries”

Are you ready for a magical, twisted, romance, drama filled, and emotional ride? Then get ready for the 2009 TV show “The Vampire Diaries.” This show has great acting, great storyline, and keeps me hooked all the time– that’s why I give this show a 10/10.

I will admit, the first three episodes are a little bit slow and predictable. It seems like every little thing is just a filler to make the episode longer, but then it gets interesting and twisted and the unexplainable happens.

Everything from episode one through three starts to come together and the little things that you didn’t think that mattered, matters now and is even bigger.

There are definitely some strengths in this show. Let’s start off by the actors. The actors are phenomenal and make the show seem real and not just some people who are acting to get  money. Another strength that this show has is a great story line. There isn’t one season that gets off track or even the slightest bit boring.

“The Vampire Diaries” keeps me hooked and I never lose interest–it has a little bit of romance, drama, dark twists and more in each season. The show keeps me guessing on what’s going to happen next.

Some weaknesses this show has is for sure being slow at the beginning. It was super predictable and it started off with a typical teenage girl named Elena (Nina Dobrev)  whose parents died in a car crash and her drug using brother Jermey (Steven R. McQueen) who is obsessing over his high school crush.

It’s super cheesy to start with and there are some things that you ask yourself as you watch the show. For example, why did they have this in the first season when it never showed up in the other seasons?

I recommend this show for anyone that likes to stay on the edge of their seat and try to guess what happens next. This show is definitely not for people who don’t like supernatural based shows because this show has vampires (duh), Witches, doppelgangers, werewolves, sirens, and more.

I would also recommend this show for people who have lots of free time because you WILL get hooked on this show.

Overall, “The Vampire Diaries” is something you should consider watching if you’re looking for a new Netflix show. This show will give you an emotional ride from feeling sad, angry, and happy for each and one of the characters.

My overall ranking is 10/10.
