Blood Drives and Saving Lives
Picture this: you’re reclining in a chair in a medical office, surrounded by equipment you can’t even guess the purpose of. You make conversation with the assistant as they prepare the IV to draw your blood.
Scary, right? Fortunately, if you have such noble intentions then you don’t have to brave an office with ominously beeping machines, because South is bringing a blood drive right to the school.
Stuco member, Riley Parman, is expecting a big turnout for this charitable event.
“We’ve partnered with the Red Cross for this [blood drive], and it’s really great to be able to give back to the community by hosting something this big,” said Parman, sophomore.
Parman isn’t the only one who feels so optimistic about this undertaking.
“Even though it’s a couple weeks away, I’m already anticipating a great turnout from South families. Tell your friends to come by to make an even bigger impact!” said Jenna Preuss, junior.
The blood drive is on Feb 28 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the gym during the school day. Stuco hopes to see you there!
