The Battlefield
March 23rd.
The biggest match of the year. South takes on their biggest rival, Parkhill, at 7:00 pm and the match is sure to entertain. In years past, Parkhill would have been favored to come out on top, but South’s varsity team this year is looking to be able to hold their own.
In 2018, South’s game with Parkhill had everyone on the edge of their seats. With a 2-2 score at the end of regulation time, the game would go into overtime to determine who would come out on top. In double overtime, Ali Walls, a senior for Parkhill at the time, scored their 3rd goal to win it. The tragic loss stung for the Panthers, but it added fuel to the fire for next year’s match.
Flash forward a year, in 2019, the Trojans and the Panthers were back it. This game being even more intense with many fouls and penalties awarded by the referees, the Trojans came out on top once again with a score of 2-1.
What will be the outcome of this year’s match? It is hard to tell, but it is guaranteed to be a fun, competitive match!
