Cancellations of the Virus
Celebrity after celebrity, athlete after athlete. Everyone is getting scared over the new pandemic spreading across 2020. Students at South are canceling their spring break vacations and stocking up as if it were the apocalypse. With rumors swirling around school about school being canceled and the possibility of online classes, the whole world seems to be on lockdown.
As the month of March is underway, the NBA, MLS, and NHL are all in the middle of their seasons and have all been on a temporary hiatus. With March Madness likely to be canceled in the next few days. This puts the world in a sports less state for the next 30 days at the least.
Big-name NBA stars Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell are the first of eventually many athletes to test positive with the coronavirus. The virus can stay in your body for at least three days without the carrier even knowing they have the virus. This puts a number of NBA players, staff, fans in danger.
Outside the world of basketball, European soccer games have been playing recent games without fans in order to stop spreading the disease. Now, all of the leagues have been put on hiatus with a number of teams in quarantine.
