Staying in Touch During Quarantine

As most of us know already, COVID-19 has halted all education and many jobs around the world. This scary pandemic has locked us in our homes for over a month and restricted conversation between the people you associate yourself with daily. With this being said, people are finding new ways to communicate with their friends like never before.

The now popular app, Zoom, allows groups of over 100 people to communicate simultaneously from the comfort of their own home.

Another fun way to see your friends that fellow students have been doing, is to gather together in your cars and sit a safe distance from each other. Kids have been sitting in their trunks and talking from afar. This allows you to get out of the house, and see your friends’ lovely faces in person that you’ve missed so much.

Lastly, a form of communication that has probably been used more than ever is gaming. I, myself, can admit that I have never in my life gamed as much as I have in this pandemic. Parties of up to 10 people can exist, and you can talk to each other while you play a game together.

Who would have ever thought it would have come to this? No one. Let’s just all hope this quarantine ends as soon as possible so we can get back to seeing our peers like normal.
