Online School Vs. Regular School
While many students (like me) miss waking up at 6:00 AM, driving all the way to South and physically learning with teachers and other people, other students love being able to wake up whenever they want and doing work anytime they please.
Speaking for many kids who attend school, I am a very visual learner. I like to be able to see what the teacher are doing and how they do it. Since school is online, you aren’t able to see your mentor “teaching” you the materials, making it very hard.
Being on your own time and schedule causes a lack of motivation. Knowing I was going to have to turn my work in to my teacher on time at school would give me a reason to do my work and stay organized. Now that it’s online, it’s hard to want to do it.
Personally, my favorite part of school was being able to see all my friends and being able to be social. Since the fun part of it is taken away, and I can’t see anyone, it makes me miss my friends even more.
Overall, online school isn’t awful because you can follow your own rules and do it your way, but it definitely has its downside too.
