Ms. Mullins Retires After 40 Years of Teaching

Have you ever had a teacher that has been the highlight of your school-day? If you are a kid that excels in math then you know Ms. Mullins is that person. Ms. Mullins has been a teacher for more than half her life. She has been at Park Hill South since the day it opened, 22 years ago, but it doesn’t stop there. She has been teaching kids for 40 years and will miss every bit of it. After much debate in that brilliant mind of hers, she has decided to finally retire from teaching. When asked her favorite part of teaching she said “I love it when a student gets a concept, or when a student that has struggled finally has success.” She has taught almost every single type of math class Park Hill South has to offer. After retiring with the class of 2021, she isn’t sure what she is going to do after but I already know it will be something great. In the words of Ms. Mullins, “Be the best you can be every day and be kind to yourself and others.”
