Girls XC Columbia Success
This past weekend the Park Hill South girls cross country team did an amazing job at their race in Columbia, Missouri.
The course they ran this weekend happens to be the course the team uses for state. The team calls this meet “fake state” because it helps them see how they would do at actual state. Last season, at state, the whole team ran PRs on this course which left the team very hopeful.
As always, the team had their pre-race Chipotle meals after their drive down to Columbia. Both the girls and the boys South XC team have a long standing tradition of going to Chipotle for dinner the night before a meet. This helps get the team excited for the next morning and grow stronger bonds with each other.
Many of the girls ran close to what they ran last year. Lauren Bishard, sophomore, and Ella Conklin, junior, both medaled at this meet by getting in the top 25.
After all their hard work, girls cross country were blue division champs!
