Annie at South !

Annie !

The Musical “Annie,” brought to us by writer Thomas Meehan in 1924, will be brought to by South’s theatre department in November in a few months.

The cast of Annie have been rehearsing for a few weeks now, and they will continue to rehearse until, the nights of their shows. Although they rehearse for long hours at a time, they always make sure that they make the best out of their time together.

Star of the Show, Sally Green, who is plays Annie, says, “I sometimes get tired but, we do a lot of different things, so its hard to get tired, when you are just so into it.”

Although Green rehearses everyday with the cast, the other ensembles join her on certain days.

According to both Green and Rachel Bishop, who is a part of the Orphan’s ensemble, their favorite character in the show is Miss Hannigan, because of her sassy attitude, and how relatable she is.

Kyle Lackey, drama, however, likes the dog that they use in the play.

Yes, they are going to be using an actually dog in their shows, so that is going to be very … interesting.

The actors and actresses are working very hard in their rehearsals after school, so you will definitely not want to miss it.

The shows will take place Nov. 14-16.
