Binge Watch Worthy

Since we are all stuck inside and trying to find something to watch on Netflix, here’s a TV Show binge watch list. From old classics to new never seen.

  1. All American– All American is about a boy named Spencer James who is from South Crenshaw. He gets an opportunity to play for Beverly Hills Highschool and leave his family and old life behind. All American is full of drama and thrill and incorporates America’s favorite sport, football. 
  2. The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez– The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez is about an 8-year-old boy who was abused to death by his mother and her boyfriend. This show is the weeks leading up to Gabriel’s death and the after effects. This show might be sensitive and aggravating, so viewer discretion is advised. The show talks about abuse, suicide, bullying, and helplessness.
  3. 13 Reasons Why– 13 Reasons Why is about a girl named Hannah Baker who commits suicide and leaves behind a series of tapes, all with people’s names on them and telling them why they caused her death. A boy named Clay Jensen, the main character, gets his tapes and decides to do something about it. 13 Reasons Why is a very sensitive show, while it includes, sexual harrasement, rape, suicide, self harm, and bullying.
  4. Stranger Things–  Stranger Things is about 3 boys who are going into highschool and, in the midst, meet a girl named 11 who has escaped from a lab. The boys become friends with 11 and help save her, and the rest of the world, from the “Upside Down”, which is full of monsters and killer creatures.
  5. Love is Blind– Love is Blind is about single men and women who are put into rooms and have to go on, quite literally, blind dates. These men and women have no social media and are forced to go on dates, which include talking through a wall. If they connect well with one another they can go on more dates, and if they feel they have met the love of their life, they can propose. Once they have proposed, they get to meet in person. After meeting, the couples get to go to Mexico to have their honeymoon. They continue by moving in and meeting each other’s families. ON their wedding day, they either say I do or I don’t. This show is full of drama, romance, and more drama.
  6. The 100– The 100 is about 100 delinquents who are sent back down to earth, after all of earth was uninhabited for hundreds of years, to see if it is survivable again. They run into a lot of issues and try to survive on their own while keeping in touch with everyone up in space in the Arc (spacecraft). All 100 of them have committed a crime while on the Arc  and are known to be bad children. Some of them don’t get along and punish the others. What is remaining of the 100 meets some unexpected visitors while on Earth, along with other health issues. 
  7. Shameless– Shameless is about a family who lives in the rougher parts of town and tries everything they can to get out of it. They fall into bad habits. This series shows the struggles of alcoholics, drug dealing, and raising a family.
  8. Riverdale– Riverdale is about a town that is divided by 2 gangs. A couple of kids from the local highschool are in the middle of it all. There is a killer on the loose that is going after people, and the teens make it their mission to find out who it is. 
  9. Orange is the New Black– Orange is the New Black is about a woman named Piper who gets sent to prison. She is not your stereotypical prison girl, but when they say prison changes you they really mean it. Piper goes from being scared and shy to being one of the top dogs that runs the place. This series also shows flashbacks of other characters and explains how most of the women got into prison and how they make it work.
  10.  The Vampire Diaries – Vampire Diaries is about 2 vampire brothers who live in a town called Mystic Falls. The brothers are complete opposites, yet both fall in love with the same girl, Elena Gilbert. The brothers have a long past of over 100 years because of immortality. It all comes back to haunt them and kill the ones they love and care deeply about.
