Cam the Man

With State wrestling kicking off on Thursday, Feb. 20, everyone including Cameron Gillespie, senior, is beginning to prepare themselves for the event. State takes place in Columbia, Mo at the Mizzou campus.

“Just like I would for any other tournament I do my best to keep it normal so that I don’t feel any extra stress at state. We do less live wrestling though, and more drilling in order to prevent injury.” Gillespie, said.

After not placing at last years state competition, Gillespie is seeking revenge this year. He is currently ranked #2 in state, and his record is 39-1. With those numbers, Gillespie is looking like a great candidate to rank in state this year.
