Covid’s Effect on South

South has officially survived its first month of school. With only three sports teams, and dozens of students and teachers having to be quarantined, it looks like South will have to toughen up and get through this hectic semester together. South’s safety protocol for COVID-19 has been up in the air. With some students loving the hybrid schedule, and others dreading going to school only twice a week.

Outside of the safety of South, the world is still ensuing into chaos. From our president, and everyone in the White House, to the possibility of our superhero of Kansas City, Patrick Mahomes. With the election starting soon, our president is contracting the disease at one of the worst times. How will these last few weeks affect the election? Guess we will have to wait and find out.

For the most famous man in Kansas City, Mahomes, he is being tested every day amid his week 4 battle with the Patriots. Suspicious arose around Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore testing positive immediately after the game. Pictures then surfaced postgame of Mahomes and Gilmore really close unmasked after the end of the game.

With new news every day of 2020, the next mystery is right around the corner. How will the final few months of 2020 end? What will the election look like in November? How will the Chiefs do after this insane start to the season? How will the hybrid schedule work later in the semester? Whatever happens, South is in for a treat to see the conclusion of the craziest year of our lives.
