Electric Emma

“I mostly spend my time swimming and hanging out with the people I love,” said Clark.

Balancing sports, education and a social life may sound difficult to some, however Emma Clark, junior,  juggles the three graciously and effectively.

Clark started swimming when she was four for her neighborhood swim team.

“I’ve always enjoyed being in the water and my sister swims too so it made it really fun in the beginning,” Clark said.

While it has been 13 years since she started, Clark has stuck with the sport.

“Swimming has taught me how to be dedicated to something because it is everyday. I have to really push myself because it is more self based progress rather than team based progress,” Clark said.

Aside from her athletic life, Clark has a number of different things she likes to do in her free time.

“I like to hang out with my friends and family. I also hang out with my dog, who is my family too,” Clark said.

As for high school, she is taking it in stride and trying to enjoy it as much as she can.

“For the most part, I like high school. I like going to sporting events and I like the bonds that you create with the teachers,” Clark said.

No matter how busy she gets, Clark is always ready to face the challenge of juggling time.
