“Friends”: A heartwarming and funny TV show

Even though “Friends” came out in 1994, it is still a popular show that many enjoy watching.  The 236 episodes have been watched by millions of people from all over. When the final episode aired May 6, 2004, people were sad to see Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Ross, Chandler and Joey come to an end.

Thanks to Netflix and other streaming options, people still sit down to watch this show 25 years later.  It is a great show that I would recommend to people in need of a heartwarming story.

Casting is very important when it comes to TV shows.  Actors and actresses help make the show and improve it.  You can tell as the show goes on the actresses and actors really fill their character and improve their role.  The main actors include Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer. The main actresses are Jennifer Anniston, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow.   This is a talented hardworking cast who all work together creating a great show.

Friends has 10 seasons that go through the life of six friends living in New York.  This includes falling in love, heartbreaks, comedy, weddings, and most of all, friendship.  All six have different personalities making the show funny and entertaining. I will say that there are some episodes where I tend to not be as entertained with some slow spots but it is doesn’t have an intense storyline so it is easy to understand what is going on.

There are for sure more strengths than weaknesses.  It is a heartwarming and loving story but with comedy that fills you with happiness.  You can really start to see their friendship grow in the later seasons which is why they are my favorite seasons.  The acting is spot on and there aren’t any dramatic decisions that could make you not want to continue the show. As some shows make a decision such as having a person die some people stop watching the show.

The only weakness for me is how it can get slow or dull at points but soon enough it picks up and is keeping you wanting more again with new relationships and exciting news.

I would highly recommend this show especially teenagers and young adults.  It is a well written and cute story showing the importance of friends and being there for one another. I rate this a 5/5.
