Is “Good Boys” a Good Movie?

Good Boys tells the story of three 12-year-old boys that get invited to their first kissing party. Max, Lucas, and Thor have never kissed, so they turned to the internet to help them learn the skills. That plan didn’t work, so Max grabs his father’s drone to spy on the teenage girls next door. One thing leads to another and they lose the drone. The rest of the movie is about the three boys trying to get the drone back before Max’s dad gets home.

My only expectation for this movie was that it was going to be funny, and it did not disappoint. Although the humor is on the inappropriate side, I think that’s what added to the character of the movie. There were points in time where I couldn’t stop laughing.

The movie is also only an hour and a half long so it goes by pretty quickly. The plot is very good and it ends up leaving a warm message behind at the end. I think the acting is well done, being that the main cast is younger boys. 

Seth Rogen is a producer for Good Boys and if you enjoy the comedy of Superbad, you are sure to like this movie. Goodboys is similar in the sense that it’s the middle school version of Superbad.

If you’re somebody that enjoys explicit humor, this movie is perfect for you. I would highly recommend going to see this movie while it’s still in theaters, it will have you laughing all the way home.
