Is He Really All That?
Dive into a movie review on Netflix’s new movie He’s All That.
Addison Rae, a TikTok star that has been trying to broaden her horizons, lands a lead role in a Netflix hit movie, He’s All That. As I watched the movie last week, I will admit I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen. Not because it was amazing but because I was in total shock at how bad the movie was.
I don’t know if it was the horrible acting or the cliche plot line the movie was based on. Rae being chosen to be the lead was the biggest mistake the director could have made. I think if they wanted to put the big celebrity into the movie she should have at least been a supporting actress.
You could tell the director was just trying to get Rae’s fans to watch the movie because they also decided to add Kourtney Kardashian as a little buddy that Facetime’s Rae throughout the movie. Neither of these celebrities should be acting and it shows throughout the whole film.
Now the plot is also very disappointing. If you could think of the most basic high school storyline this movie would match it exactly. A girl is dating a popular boy, then he cheats, so the girl makes a boy who is a loser look popular and dates him.
And of course, there’s a point in the movie where the new boyfriend finds out she was just dating him for a bet. Could it get any more basic? I felt like I was watching a Disney movie of teens trying to act as cool as possible.
At the end of the day, I do not recommend this movie to anyone. This director did anything they could do to make it a cliché Netflix movie. I think that all Netflix movies will always be not worth watching or wasting your time.
