Movie Review on Disney-Pixar’s “Soul”
Disney-Pixar movie “Soul” came out in 2020 and has been pulling at the audience’s heartstrings. Starting with an ordinary music teacher from Queens named Joe Gardener, Disney-Pixar presents a crazy adventure to find the purpose in life.
After getting the biggest gig of his career as a jazz musician, Joe finds himself stuck in the afterlife after a near-death experience. Joe desperately wants to go back to his life on Earth and will do whatever it takes. Joe is soon mistaken for a mentor while trying to avoid the afterlife where he meets 22. 22 is a troubled soul who struggles to find her purpose in life, so she avoids Earth at all costs. After a little mix-up and lots of adventures. Joe discovers what it means to have a soul.
I would rate this movie an 8/10. The movie is full of surprises and is very heartwarming. It would have been a little better if they incorporated a little more humor but overall it was a great watch. I would recommend this movie to not only kids but all age groups because you are never too old to watch a Disney-Pixar film! The ending message will touch your heart and inspire you to live life to the fullest.
