Netflix’s Bridgerton Review

The 19th century Gossip Girl alike show that has hit the world by storm.

Bridgerton was added to Netflix on December 25th, Christmas day. The show reached the number one spot in 76 countries within a week. On It’s release day it was streamed by 63 million people.

Within minutes of watching I was already hooked. A family with the last name Bridgerton is going through the season of romance. Everyone hoping to find a husband or wife. The show revolves around the highest class in England showing the Queen, Princes, and Dukes of the land.

At first watch you may experience difficulty understanding the dialogue. The show uses early 1800 language that people of today cant fully comprehend. I found myself really having to focus and use action clues to figure out what exactly they were talking about.

The characters of Bridgerton all have such unique development. The main character Daphne is forced to decide between many men in one season to choose her husband. She meets the most elite males of England on her Journey.

Another fan favorite of the show is Penelope Featherington. She is a part of another elite house with two sisters and a distant relative the family has brought in. Penelope is crushing over a man during the show that does not want her back. I and many other fans empathize with her causing a huge bond with her and the fan base.

Bridgerton will leave you wanting to watch episode after episode. I finished it in two days with never wanting a break. If you’re into romantic and dramatic series this is perfect for you. With so many stories within one, and outstanding actors and actresses no one wouldn’t enjoy this show.
