Opera House Coffee & Food Emporium
In a city famous for their mouth-watering cuisine, Kansas City restaurants are held to a fairly high standard. It can be hard for these places to produce dishes that please citizens and tourists. However, The River Market is one part of the city that never misses. More specifically; Opera house Coffee & Food Emporium.
Located On Walnut Street in the River Market, the Opera House is a cafe and eatery inside what used to be the Gillis Opera House, which was a popular theater in the years 1883-1926. In current times, the building no longer produces musicals and shows, but instead makes delicious coffees, juices, sandwiches, and pastries.
I, like many citizens of Kansas City, have enjoyed their food on multiple occasions. I personally believe that their Paninis are like no other. With the crunchy, warm, ciabatta bread, melty, stringy cheese and either grilled vegetables or meats, it is quite literally a recipe for perfection.
As for the coffee and other delectable drinks, they never disappoint. The baristas have a way of keeping things interesting by calling their coffees creative names like “The Great White,” or “The Sweet Emotion.”
When ordering coffees from your typical drive-thru coffee shop, you tend to run into the issue of your drink being made too sugary, unstirred, or sometimes bland. However, the Opera House makes each drink with the perfect ratio of flavor; Not too sweet, not too bitter, and smooth as you can get it.
If you’re someone who has never visited the Opera House Coffee & Food Emporium, I recommend you visit as soon as you can. Any meal, drink, or dessert
you order will hit the spot every time.
