South Basketball Wrap-Up

The season for South basketball has finally come to an end. Friday night South played Staley and both teams played very well with a battle every time they play. Being 1 and 1 with Stayley, this game would decide who would be the district champs.

The game was very close with the score being 17-16 at the half. Both teams playing their heart out knowing that this could be the last game of their high school career. 

The teams came out after half battling and going 110% every play. As the 3rd quarter starts, we were down by ten which was the beginning to the end of South’s season.

South ending up losing 35-53 against the Falcons. This was a very sad day for the Panther seniors on the team with a season of 28-9.

“I wouldn’t have wanted to lose with anyone else. This was my team for four years and we accomplished so much,” Captain Josh Prososki said. South basketball will be missed but it’s only the start of another journey.
