South Needs a Starbucks
Students at South are always coming into school tired and exhausted from doing teenager type things the night before and staying up too late. Many kids at our school enjoy a nice cold coffee from Starbucks bright and early in the morning to wake them up so they’re able to focus.
If a student decides to stop to get coffee from their local Starbucks, chances are they’re super tired and driving out of their way for their precious coffee, and risking the chance of a big car accident, and also the chance of being late to class.
Getting a Starbucks at South would also be beneficial to all of the staff members and the school itself. It would make money for the school that could possibly go towards more supplies or school functions. Coffee for teachers could also be good for them because they won’t have to drink gross black coffee and also won’t have to drive out of their way to get a special Starbucks drink.
Coffee could also help wake up students because of the caffeine in it to help students focus better and get their work done more efficiently.
Okay, reality check. Who in the world would work it? Well, there are two possible ways the Starbucks cafe would work. Students would have to take shifts during classes to make it even throughout the whole school, but it would be very hard to motivate students who wouldn’t want to work this, especially if they don’t like Starbucks.
The other alternative would be bringing in other cafeteria workers to work at the cafe or just serving Starbucks at the cafe we already have. The coffee that is served there doesn’t taste that good and not many students like it.
