South Soccer 2019
After beating the best team in the state for their first game, last year’s season for South soccer was off to an amazing start. They beat Rockhurst for the first time in 12 years. As the season continued, the chemistry on the team increased.
Former Captain Cole Bromstedt has faith that this year’s captains will create that same type of chemistry for the 2019 team.
“They are a good group of young talented kids. They just have to build up the chemistry like the 2019 team did,” Bromstedt said.
This year’s team has a lot of diversity. There are eight seniors and the rest are underclassmen. The diversity in the team makes the team better because the younger kids look up to the older kids as leaders which is key to improvement.
Captain Ty Rouse said, “I really liked the guys from last year and we worked well, but the team’s work ethic this year is so much better than last year and no one gives up.”
