South Tennis’ New Star

Featuring Chloe Norris

Being the best of the best can hold a lot of pressure. Chloe Norris is finally at the top this year for the girls tennis team. After being number two for three years in a row finally being number one is a big deal.

Eva Kresovic was the star of the tennis team since her freshman year, placing at state up until junior year. She decided to focus more on club tennis for her senior year and didn’t play for the school this year. So, she left the team in Norris’ hands.

“It is a lot less fun without Eva because she made the team a whole,” Norris said.

Without Eva as her doubles partner this year, Chloe’s new partner is freshman, Vivianne Hamilton. Vivianne has been playing tennis ever since she can remember. From time to time she plays with Eva during her club season.

Norris thinks that Vivianne has many things coming for her in the future, considering she is already this good as a freshman.

“It honestly scared me at the beginning of the season because of her coming in as a freshman and could potentially take my spot as a senior.” Norris said.

This tennis season is just beginning for Chloe and she wants to finish out her last high school tennis season with a bang.
