Spring Break Jitters

As the weather is getting warmer, midterms are coming up, and spring sports finally beginning, that can only mean one thing. Spring Break. But, this year, things could be different.

With rumors of the Coronavirus going around, it is becoming more and more difficult for people wanting to travel.

Emma Gillespie, Junior, is going on a cruise for spring break this year and is going to Belize and Honduras.

“My traveling prices didn’t decrease at all because we planned our trip awhile back.” Gillespie said.

A lot of students at South this year are also going to Costa Rica for their spring break trip this year. Abby Wells, Junior is among one of them and is excited for her trip.

“I am not worried about contracting the virus, but I am nervous about possible travel restrictions while I am out of the country.” Wells said.

A lot of students trips this year have canceled because of this situation, bringing some of the fun out of spring break.
