Trump to Speak at CPAC
Despite his recent impeachment trial, former president Donald Trump will speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Sunday.
Trump will deliver the conference’s keynote speech. This first public address since leaving office, which is accentuated by his lack of social media presence due to his accounts being banned. He’s been living at Mar-a-Lago since leaving office.
In his speech, he’s expected to cover Biden, the future of the Republican party and his possibly running for president again in 2024.
Also speaking at CPAC are notable Republicans Ted Cruz, Mike Pompeo, Josh Hawley and Donald Trump Jr. However, Mike Pence and Mitch McConnel will not be in attendance. Conference speaking points include the 2020 election, Big Tech and “cancel culture.”
With the Republican party now divided over the events of January 6, conference-goers expect an interesting experience.
